1. Removal of pre-departure test requirement
The pre-departure RT-PCR test requirement has been removed for all entry schemes. This means that travellers are no longer required to present a negative RT-PCR test result for boarding.
That said, airlines may implement a different internal policy, so travellers are advised to study their airlines' policies carefully.
2. Reduction of quarantine period & no. of RT-PCR tests requiredThe quarantine period for the Alternative Quarantine (AQ) scheme has been reduced from 10 days (for non-vaccinated travellers) and 7 days (for fully vaccinated travellers) to 5 days for all.
The number of RT-PCR tests required under the AQ scheme has also been reduced from 2 tests to 1 test.
3. Further relaxation of sandbox scheme
Those entering the sandbox scheme now only need to stay in the area for 5 days (the period has been reduced from 7 days).
4. Additional vaccine accepted
The Ministry of Public Health of Thailand has added Novavax/Nuvavocid (2 doses, 14 days apart) to the list of accepted vaccines.
